When you take delivery of your new product the manufacturers guarantee will provide cover for mechanical breakdowns. Homebuy offers an optional comprehensive promise plan that gives you a choice. Our promise is.. If it breaks, we fix it or replace it, Giving you complete peace of mind and protection with your new product.

Continuous benefits and unlimited repairs for up to 3 years
We hope your product serves you well. If it does go wrong — no matter how many times you need our help or make a claim – we’ll put it right. We will continue to provide coverage under Homesmart until its expiry date.
We’ll come to you
If we can’t solve the problem over the phone we will advise you of what will happen next. In most cases we will arrange for a service engineer to visit your home within 48 hours of your call and the service engineer will try to repair the Product. If the Product cannot be repaired we may provide a Loan Product or we may replace it.
We’ll fix it or replace it
We will usually fix your product within 30 days. In the unlikely event that we are unable to do this, we’ll give you a replacement product of equivalent specification.
A loan product whilst yours is being repaired
The loan product provided may be a different size and brand than the original Product and no additional stands or wall mounts will be provided.
Once the repair has been made to your Product the loan equipment must be returned when we deliver your Product back to you.
If your Product cannot be repaired the loan equipment must he returned before we will issue a product replacement.
Deep Clean Service (selected large kitchen appliances only)
After payment for 52 consecutive weeks of HomeSmart, you will be entitled to have your Product deep cleaned. To book an appointment, please call us on 0300 456 2501.
We will clean and de-scale a washing machine or dishwasher, clean the exterior of a cooker, and defrost a fridge or freezer and clean the exterior.
What is not included?
- Repair costs that have not been expressly approved will not be recoverable by you from us, under Homesmart.
- Repair or replacement of any Product which has been neglected, abused, misused, or damaged intentionally
- Cosmetic damage where it does not affect the operation or safety of the Product.
- Damage or breakdown due to flood, wind or other severe weather conditions.
- Damage or breakdown due to fire, unless caused by an electrical malfunction within the Product.
- Repairing or replacing a product which has been exposed to insect infestation (or similar phenomenon) or human or animal fluid/matter.
- Repairing or replacing of any Product where function failure or performance is due to the poor provision of, or withdrawal of, services by a third party or by a failure of, fault with or
- interruption of a utility supply.
- The following ancillary items will also not be covered by HOMESMART
- Items which require the replacement of regular items/consumable items, such as:
- Built-in batteries,
- Bulbs and lamps (except for bulbs used in rear projection TV)
- Vacuum cleaner belts and bags.
Termination by You
You can end Homesmart at any time. In the event you end Homesmart the services will be provided until the end of the week for which payment has been received
In the event you wish Homesmart to end with immediate effect and there are a residual number of days for which the services would be provided, Homesmart will be cancelled and a pro-rata refund provided.
Termination by Us
We may terminate this contract on providing 7 days written notice (which may include notice by email), where the Product(s) can no longer be serviced economically or the repair exceeds the value of the Product(s) or where the parts required are no longer available.
Further Relevant Information
HOMESMART does not affect your legal rights. Further information about your legal rights can be obtained from your local Trading Standards Department or Citizens Advice Bureau.
Services similar to HOMESMART or extended warranties may be available from other persons
Your household insurance or manufacturer’s warranty may provide some protection for the Product.
HOMESMART does not have to be taken at the same time as you agree to hire or purchase a domestic electrical product.
You can end HOMESMART at any time. In the event you end HOMESMART the services will be provided until the end of the week for which payment has been received.
In the event that Westgate Credit Limited ceases trading there is no dedicated financial backing.
If you need to rely on HOMESMART for a repair or replacement or any other service offered under the HOMESMART contract, HOMESMART will not be terminated.
